Giovinco to undergo nose operation

On Wednesday 1st July Sebastian Giovinco will be admitted to the Chivasso hospital where he will be treated under Prof. Tubino. Giovinco will undergo surgery to his nose after preparatory tests and anaesthetic tests the day before. The operation has been planned for some time and has the scope of restoring normal respiration. The convalescence period is thought to be that of 21 days before the boanconero can return to training.

If on Saturday it was Lorenzo Ariaudo who brought Casiraghi’s Under 21 squad back on track, on Tuesday it was the turn of Sebastian Giovinco to score for Italy and equalize against Holland.

The Atomic Ant played a great match and even went close to scoring a second time. The Orange were the first to score with De Jong but Seba equalized at the end of the first half fixing the score on a 1-1 draw which is a very important result for the azzurrini.

Giovinco had a very good match and was clearly the inspiration of the team coached by Pierluigi Casiraghi. Claudio Marchisio also had a good match expressing himself with the skills of a veteran notwithstanding his young age but this is nothing new as the young midfielder has already become an important point of reference in Ranieri’s squad.

Sebastian Giovinco, The Next Del Piero?

Del Piero (10) and Giovinco (20)Alessandro Del Piero has told Sebastian Giovinco that he’ll one day inherit the Juventus No 10 shirt – but he’ll have to be patient. The Under-21 international is a rising star in the Italian game and has inevitably been likened to Juventus skipper. And although Del Piero does believe that Giovinco has the X-factor, he’s going to have to wait for his chance.  “I won’t be here in five years,” noted the 34-year-old. “But Giovinco will be. The future is his, along with Claudio Marchisio and Paolo De Ceglie.”
